Save the date: on 25 September 2026, science takes over the streets of the Western Balkans. The first DiBS European Researchers’ Night will be held simultaneously in Kosovska Mitrovica, Pristina, Podgorica, Tirana and Durrës — connected by a joint live link-up.
Visitors of all ages can look forward to street labs and hands-on experiments, a main-stage science show, an EU corner, and “Meet the researcher” speed talks. Special buses will connect rural schools with the main venues.
What is the European Researchers’ Night?
It is Europe’s largest science communication event, held every year on the last Friday of September as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Its mission is to bring researchers closer to the public and to show how research shapes our everyday lives.
One evening a year, the whole region discovers that science is exciting, human — and for everyone.
Full programmes for each city will be published on the ERN 2026 page. Entrance is free.
