Rector Arsić on TV Most: European Researchers’ Night expands to four municipalities

During a guest appearance on TV Most, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, and Dr. Aleksandra Petrović emphasized the global significance of the initiative. He noted that the Researchers’ Night is a worldwide phenomenon, regularly hosted in Belgrade and at other major universities. For the first time this year, the European Researchers’ Night will be organized across multiple locations, including Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavić, Zubin Potok, and Štrpce. The central event is set to take place on September 25 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Priština, temporarily headquartered in Kosovska Mitrovica. The program promises an engaging experience for visitors of all ages, featuring live experiments, educational workshops, interactive zones, exhibitions, quizzes, and panel discussions. Rector Arsić pointed out that this is a historic milestone for the University, as it steps up as the primary organizer of an event of this magnitude for the very first time. The event is being realized as part of the major international “Horizon” project known as DiBS, which the University is implementing alongside its European partners. What is particularly important is that we could not have organized this event alone, without the strong support of the local community and school administrations. Over the past few months, including throughout the summer, a dedicated team of people has been working intensively on the organization, holding numerous working meetings with all stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, Rector, for TV Most He added that meetings with the principals of local primary and secondary schools were successfully concluded a few weeks ago. We have completed all necessary preparations to ensure the event runs at the highest possible level. We have also secured valuable prizes for the children participating in the quiz. The competition will feature both semi-final and final rounds, and the local government has kindly assisted us in providing the awards. Prof. Dr. Nebojša Arsić, Rector He concluded that this will be a truly memorable event for Mitrovica, as it brings together the university, local schools, and the local government in one place for the very first time to celebrate science and education. #DiBS#ScienceForAll#DiBSConnect#UPKM#FTNKM#ResearchersNight
