The kick-off meeting of the DiBS project brought together all partner teams to launch two years of joint work connecting researchers, schools and citizens across the Western Balkans.
Representatives of the five partner universities discussed the overall work plan, the two editions of the European Researchers’ Night, the Researchers at Schools programme, and the communication and dissemination strategy built around DiBS Connect and the Balkan Science Bridge video magazine.
On the agenda
The meeting covered the project overview and objectives, the structure of the work packages, roles and responsibilities of each partner, financial and administrative management, and the timeline for the first activities — including the first Researchers’ Night on 25 September 2026.
The kick-off confirmed a shared ambition: one connected, multilingual digital ecosystem where science speaks the language of the whole region.
The teams agreed on the next steps and on close cross-border cooperation throughout the project.
